The gateway to central Kruger and the Timbavati, Klaserie, Balule and Kapama reserves.
Hoedspruit is a small bush town with its own airport (Eastgate) and the best base for central Kruger's private reserves. Orpen Gate is about 70 km away. The town has wildlife estates where antelope wander past the houses, rehabilitation centers, and easy access to the Blyde River Canyon.
