The Timbavati Private Nature Reserve lies between Hoedspruit and Kruger's Orpen Gate, unfenced with the park. It is known for its rare white lions and for lodges that are a little less expensive than the Sabi Sand. Most guests fly into Hoedspruit (Eastgate) Airport, about an hour's drive away.
